It sometimes occurs to me just how privileged I am to have so many talented musicians as friends and that so many of them let me, and encourage me, to photograph them in the rehearsal room, in the studio and live. I’m doing it so often these days that sometimes I probably take it a bit for granted, but I really shouldn’t.
Watching my close friends in Life On Standby deliver a storming opening set in the ever excellent Stereo Cafe Bar in Glasgow supporting buzz band Marmozets the week before they head down to take part in the final of this year’s Redbull Bedroom Jam competition was a perfect reminder as to why I shouldn’t take these opportunities for granted.
Really proud of a good few of these. Still getting used to switching settings mid-shoot depending on my lens choice, but I’m getting there. I think.
