Sectioned are a brilliant band and I love seeing them live, but I really didn’t feel all that stoked on the results of shooting this show.

I arrived part way through the band’s set to a venue I didn’t know after an evening of reviewing for another publication. It was pretty rushed, intense and difficult. Which sums up Sectioned’s sound as much as it does my state of mind.

That said, I do like a few of these. I did learn that I still have a lot to learn about shooting in next to no light with the flash gun (though now I’ve upgraded to a ETTL flash to help with that) and that strobes are your best friend as much as they are your enemy.

Sectioned were still rad though for the brief amount of time I saw them. Fans of anger and noise should check them out.
