I’m a freelance digital journalist and photographer who graduated with a Masters with merit in Digital Journalism from the University of Strathclyde in 2014. I currently take photos of musicians, write political commentary for CommonSpace and do digital and comms work for a charity.
In the past I’ve written for The Herald, The Evening Times, The Daily Record, The Skinny, Hit The Floor magazine and I was also production editor on the mutli-award winning The Wee G ( Scottish Student Journalism Awards Multimedia Publication of the Year 2014).
There’s no agenda to this blog. I take no advertising, this site makes no money and I don’t work in “the industry” beyond the odd photo job. There’s no PR allegiances to protect, management backhanders or undeclared interests. Just honest opinions on music that I think is tremendous. Or at least looks good on camera. Whatever happens first.
Essentially, I have too much time on my hands and a big mouth.
